pita bread

Learn how to make pita bread in home.


Ingredients:

  • 1 kg wheat floor.
  • 40g.yeast.
  • 2 teaspoons salt.
  • 2 teaspoons sugar.
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil.
  • 1 liter of warm water.

Preparation:

Dissolve yeast in a glass of warm water,let it develop for 15 minutes.
In a bowl add floor,yeast,salt,sugar and oil.
Add warm water gradually and knead until the dough become smooth and soft.
Cover the bowl with a cloth for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into small pieces and form smooth balls.
Covers the balls with a cloth and let rise for 34-40 minutes.
Open the balls in the form of very thin discs(1mm thick) and pass in wheat floor.
Bake in preheated oven at very high temperature and takes the braed when staying golden.
